Hello again!  This is a gift I made for a special person named, Corinne.  She is the owner of Handmade Halo, an online store that sells yummy embellies!  She is so kind and always tries to please everyone.  I thought it would be nice to thank her for all that she does.  So I decided to alter a plain wooden box purchased from my local craft store and this is the end result.  :o)
I randomly adhered pieces of tissue tape to the gesso-covered box and applied this flaky medium to certain areas.  I then used ink sprays to add color.
The sides and the back of the box are decorated with Green Tara lace.
Look at these gorgeous Green Tara flowers!  I love how well they combine!  I used a mixture of Gardenias, Roses and Apple Blossoms.  I also added cut pieces of gorgeous lace and an acrylic/pearl spray by Green Tara.

Different types of chipboard elements by The Dusty Attic were used to decorate the box as well.

Hi everyone!  This a layout I made using a photo of my daughter when she was two years old.  That seems like ages ago!  I used Bo Bunny's Country Garden Collection... how gorgeous are these papers?!
I used a sketch by Mistra Hoolahan that was used for the October Dusty Attic challenge.
Look at these lovely Green Tara flowers!  The large flower is a Damask fabric & organza flower.
The adorable blue flower is a 4cm Heirloom.  I like this smaller size!
For the title I used alpha stickers and chipboard letters and adhered them to a die cut banner.
These are lovely gardenias and roses.  You can see a piece of cut lace peeking out from behind the flowers.
To create this circle border, I hand-stitched the lace to the edge of the cut circle and then snipped in between each section of the lace.  All of the hand- stitching on this layout was done by hand.  Some people think I'm nuts but I find the stitching to be therapeutic.  :o)

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!
Much love & hugs...
xoxo

Hi friends!  This is a layout I made for the Bo Bunny October Layout Challenge.  I have to admit... I think this is one of my favorite layouts so far.  This Bo Bunny collection, called Et Cetera, is simply INCREDIBLE and just my style!  The muted yet striking colors, the script, the newsprint, the ink stains... I could go on and on... LOL.

So the rules of the challenge are:
* Choose one of the two photos provided for inspiration (I chose the photo you see on the left.)
* Use at least one tag on your layout
* Use at least two photos on your layout

The photo provided inspired me to use papers with blue/green tones.  It also inspired me to add these flower die cuts you see here.  I die cut the flowers and embossed them using two different Texture Fades embossing folders.  I then adhered the die cut flowers to my layout, stitched around the edges for emphasis, and atached a brad to the center of the flower.  I really like how it turned out!
The green flower is my Romantique Rose.  You can find the tutorial for it HERE.  The gorgeous blue flower is a resin Briar Rose from Handmade Halo.  Don't they look so natural?  The back of the resin roses are flat so they are very easy to adhere to any project.
The title was printed and cut into a strip.  All of the stitching on this layout was done by hand.  The chipboard trim (Fancy Trim #1 DA0433) is made by The Dusty Attic.
I found this quote on Pinterest and it was just perfect for this layout.  :o)
I love these Dusty Attic Sweet Pea Borders!  I painted and inked them and added tiny pearls to the center.  Then I cut the border into pieces and placed them where I desired.  Behind the photos, I tucked in crinkled seam binding from Stamp Anna Designs.  She sells a variety of beautiful seam binding in her etsy.
In this photo, you can also see the sky blue paint I splattered onto the background.
The metal leaf charms and blue resin flowers are also from Handmade Halo.
Here is one of the two tags I used in case you missed it.  It is one of the challenge requirements.  These tiny tags (also from Stamp Anna Designs) are tea-stained!

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you like my layout!  Have a wonderful week!

Much love & hugs...
xoxo

Hello again!  This is a simple layout I made using Bo Bunny's Country Garden collection.  I guess I was feeling bright & happy when I made this!  Love Bo Bunny papers!
The photo is of my daughter when she was a baby.  She always knew how to make me smile... even during my tough days.  :o)
These chipboard letters (Bookman ABC Set DA0666) were painted to match the papers.  I added a few hand-stitched lines to underline the title.
I tucked in this chipboard border beneath a layer of paper.  And YES... it's naked!  I actually used bare chipboard!  LOL.
I LOVE using metal charms!  All of the gorgeous metal pieces are from Handmade Halo.  They have such a great variety!
... more flowers, another lovely charm, hemp cord and chicken wire chipboard...
Love these squooshy mushy flowers by Mistra!  Click HERE for the tutorial.
See the cute little resin dahlia behind the large flower?  That is also from Handmade Halo.  They have the BEST resin flowers!
I also snuck in a little lacing and a few eyelets.  :o)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a bright and beautiful day!
Much love &hugs...

Hi sweet friends!  My little online store is sponsoring Once Upon a Sketch this month and I was asked to create a layout using this month's sketch.  My design team members, Mistra & Nancy, also created gorgeous layouts than can be seen HERE.
For this layout I used Pion Design's For Father Collection.  I like that these papers can be used for non-masculine layouts also.
I found this quote on Pinterest and immediately fell in love with it.  Sometimes it is hard for us to let go of things we have grown accustomed to, but sometimes it's for the better.
The title is made up of Dusty Attic chipboard letters.  I've used this set so many times; it comes with numerous letters and punctuation marks.
I used two different Dusty Attic cog sets for this layout - Cogs Frame Set DA0327 and Cogs #1 DA0001.  They were inked and randomly embossed with Distress embossing powder.
These little blooms were made with the Bitty Blossoms dies by Spellbinders.
All of the GORGEOUS metal charms are from Handmade Halo.  Go check out the huge variety!
I love this flower!  It was made using a tutorial by Mistra Hoolahan.  Take a peek HERE.
The beautiful white flowers are Dusty Attic blooms.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit Once Upon A Sketch and take a peek at their inspiring sketches!

Much love & hugs...
xoxo

Once Upon a Sketch

Hi everyone!  I'm back with another layout that I made for one of my Donna Salazar Designs team members.  Each of us are making a layout for one another.  This one is for Mistra... she requested that I scrap a photo of myself with a quote... so I did!  Heehee.  I can be a giant goofball, and Mistra knows this very well.  She always humors me by playing along with my weirdness LOL.
These hand-made flowers are my Romantique Roses.  You can find the tutorial HERE.  The Rose Creations dies that I used for these flowers can be purchased from my store.
This layout is based on a sketch by Lydell Quin.  Love her designs!  Her sketch included little circles like these.  I simply added stitches through them.
The background paper is watercolor paper from Donna's Mix'd Media Stax.  I spritzed it with Smooch Spritz in Pralines & Cream and Cashmere.
Aren't these corrugated swirls awesome?!  These are Donna's hand drawn swirls by Want2Scrap.  I brushed a thin layer of white paint on them and inked the ripples with Truffle Mix'd Media Inx.
I used several of Donna's stamps to decorate the background.  This one is the Ledger stamp.  All of the stamped images were embossed with white embossing powder.
The Barcode chippies are made by The Dusty Attic.  I love the intricate details of Dusty chipboard elements!
Behind the Barcodes, I stamped with Donna's Chicken Wire stamp.  The tiny tag behind the photo is a tea-stained tag from Stamp Anna Designs.  She has different sizes available.
Along the top and bottom, I used Donna's Bubble Wrap stamp.  So much easier than using actual bubble wrap!

Thanks for visiting!
Much love & hugs...
xoxo
