MAJA DESIGN

Hi friends!  This is a layout I created using Pion Design's latest release, Silent Night.  I love the versatility of this collection; I have used it for several different themes.
The chipboard wagon wheel was dabbed with white paint and sprayed with ink.  I often decorate my chippies this way when I want the pieces to blend into the layout.  The chipboard and white flowers are manufactured by The Dusty Attic and both are available in my shop.
The lovely metal charms on this layout were purchased from Handmade Halo.  They sell a lovely selection of charms, resin flowers and much more!
The title is also made of chipboard letters that were painted, lightly inked for an aged effect and staggered to add dimension.
The white and green flowers are Dusty Attic Blooms.  You can see the variety of colors available HERE.
The little button heart is also made of chipboard... yes, I am a bit addicted to chipboard!  LOL.  I embossed the button with Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder, and then I applied paint to the button using my fingers!  Finger painting fun!  I set two eyelets in the holes and tied hemp cord through the holes.
This chipboard element is one of my favorite pieces!  The Dusty Attic designed a few double-layer chippies like this one.  The bottom layer was inked with Mix'd Media Inx and the top layer was painted and inked.  The dimension of this piece is gorgeous!  I applied a few pearls to add a touch of elegance.

Thank you for visiting me today!!  I hope you have a lovely day!!

Much love & hugs...
xoxo

Hi everyone... today I have a layout to share in memory of a sweet friend and artist that recently passed away unexpectedly.  Kim was such a kind soul and a talented scrapper.  My heart breaks for her family... she will be dearly missed.

I used the new collection by Pion Design, Silent Night.  I thought the beautiful angels on the paper would be appropriate for this layout.
The pink flower is one of my designs... my Romantique Rose.  Click HERE for a tutorial.  The little blue flowers were made using the Bitty Blossoms Spellbinders dies (available in my shop).  The beautiful white flowers are made by the Dusty Attic and are also available in my shop.  They come in a variety of different colors.
I found this lovely verse on the internet and thought it was sweet.
I punched several border strips using different paper designs and stitched them onto my layout.  The silver leaves are charms that I picked up at a local craft store.
Kimmy always used to comment on my eyelets and lacing, so I knew I had to incorporate both onto my layout.  You can find the tutorial for the lacing HERE, although it is a tutorial for straight lacing.  If I receive requests for a circle lacing tutorial, I would be happy to create one.  :o)

The chipboard doilies behind the photos are made by the Dusty Attic.  They were altered with a simple coat of paint and inked with a spray ink.

The title letters were cut from a Pion Design paper as well but from a different collection.  I love how I can mix and match all of their collections.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope Kimmy likes her layout.

Much love & hugs...
xoxo

As the fall has arrived and the evenings are getting darker, many of us feel an emerging need to cuddle up inside with plenty of time to spend on paper crafting. Fittingly enough, Pion Design has now released two paper collections - For Father in 6x6” and From Grandmas Attic - tinted.

For Father 6x6" is Pion Designs' masculine collection, suitable for all those special occasions when you want to acknowledge a father, brother or son. The images of old cars and gentlemen in muted colors will provide you and your crafting with that vintage feeling that is a trademark of Pion Design papers.

Below is a layout that I had made with the For Father 12x12 Collection.

From Grandma's Attic - tinted contains lovely sepia toned pictures, gently tinted as it was done in the past. The shades can be traced back to Pion Designs' previous collections and therefore you will find that the pictures match perfectly with our other papers. With titles such as Family, Warm Clothes, Boys and Girls, you will soon learn that no matter what the occasion or the aim of your crafting may be, you will be able to find a gorgeous picture suited for exactly this purpose.

For Father 6x6" and From Grandma's Attic - tinted, are in stock and ready for immediate shipping at Pion Design.

 Much love & hugs...

I am completely overwhelmed with sadness after discovering that a sweet friend has left us.
Kim Sonksen passed away yesterday morning after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer.  I first met Kimmy when we were both accepted onto Donna Salazar's Design Team.  Since then we have kept in touch, and I absolutely adored her.  Not only did I admire her work, but also her sweet and honest personality.
You will be missed, Kimmy.  Love ya, girl.  :'(

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends!  It has been crazy these past few weeks trying to get the kids back into their school routine and entertaining visitors from Australia!  This layout is of Mistra, one of my Aussie friends!  It was so nice to get to meet her in person, although it felt like we've known each other for ages.
For this layout, I used Pion Design's Fairytale of Spring Collection.  It is such a delightful paper line.
Love this quote... we must remember to enjoy each day and BE HAPPY!
Layered behind the photos, I have used corrugated board, chipboard from The Dusty Attic and die cuts cut from Spellbinders dies.
All of the gorgeous resin flowers and metal trinkets were purchased from Handmade Halo
