This is a mirror I made for my stepmom because she is so special to me!  I had way too much fun altering this mirror!!  (I covered the mirrored section with vellum so that my scary reflection didn't end up in the photo.)  This wooden mirror is an inexpensive mirror from IKEA.  It is perfect for altering because it has a wide, unfinished surface.
This gorgeous texture was created by using Green Tara's cobweb ribbon!  I adhered the ribbon to the mirror and applied gesso over it.  Then I applied ceramic stucco to the entire surface.

I proceeded by gently squishing cut pieces of lace into the stucco.  Then I colored my project with several different sprays.  I adore how it turned out!
To finish off the mirror, I decorated with a Camellia flower, Gardenias, Cherry Blossoms and Roses by Green Tara.
I even added touches of Jute ribbon.  This ribbon from Green Tara makes such a lovely bow!
... more purdy flowers...

And of course I couldn't forget my chipboard!  I am a dimensional crafter so chipboard is one of my favorite products!

Thank you for visiting me today!  Much love & hugs...
xoxo
