I am sad to say that Moments of Tranquility Shop has been closed for good.
I am grateful for the years of support and kindness that I have received. :o)

If you are here looking for Dusty Attic chipboard... DON'T PANIC!
You can now purchase Dusty Attic chipboard directly from the manufacturer HERE.

Hello sweet friends!  Natasha here with a layout I created using the beautiful "For Father" Collection by Pion Design.  You can purchase Pion Design papers HERE.
The photo is of my awesome daddy.  He is my everything.  Shhhhhh... don't tell my hubby or he may get jealous LOL.  :o)

I used a lot of Dusty Attic chipboard on this layout, including the title piece.  I grunged up the title chippie by applying paint, ink and embossing powder.
Some hemp cord lacing...
I found this quote and thought it was very fitting for this layout.  Everything my father has taught me will stay with me and be passed on to my children.
The flower was made from chipboard as well.  I have a similar tutorial that can be found HERE.  The hand cut stamps and pocket watches were cut from the Pion Design papers I used.

To add texture to these chipboard bricks, I applied Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder in Truffle.

Hope you enjoyed my layout!  Take care!

Hello friends!  Today I'd like to share a mixed media project I made using some of my favorite goodies!  This project was made on 10x10 Clipboard by Zutter.  I first covered the board with gesso and then decoupaged torn pieces of The Crafty Chronicle.
I added layers of muslin for added texture, and I inked the entire surface with several different colors of Mix'd Media Inx.
The smaller flowers were made using the new Bitty Blossoms dies by Spellbinders.  The bling is from Want2Scrap and is called B.Y.O.B. (Build Your Own Bling).  It comes in cut pieces so that you can create your own flourishes!  How cool is that?!
The cut out frame is an image from the Storybook Collection by GCD Studios.
I cut out the centers of the smaller frames and inserted tiny photos behind them.  I titled this project, "Dorks in Love", because we are silly goofballs who make each other laugh and, yes, we are in love.  :o)
More Bitty Blossoms and bling...
I randomly stamped certain areas and set Zutter Rivets in each corner.

Thank you for visiting today!  Enjoy the rest of your week!

Hello my friendly peeps!  Hope you are all well.  :o)  If you haven't already noticed, I have been in a creative rut these last few months.  My motivation to create has almost been non-existent.  It is quite a struggle for me to finish a project these days LOL.  I'm not really sure of what was causing my lack of desire to play, but I am happy to say that I am slowly getting back in the swing of things!  I have to thank my sweet friend, Mistra, who has been sketching like a maniac lately and has shared many of her sketches with me.  Every time she sends me a new sketch, I am inspired to play and have fun!!  Mistra has created a blog just for her sketches so that she can share her lovely designs!
Sketches by Mistra is not a challenge blog... I think of it as an inspiration blog.  Her designs really jump start my creativity and imagination.  Head on over and take a peek!  She has also posted some sample layouts and has PLENTY more to share!

Hi everyone!  This is a wall hanging I had made using a few of Donna Salazar's recent releases!
The background of the wall hanging is made of corrugated board that was painted, spritzed with Smooch Spritz, inked with Denim Mix'd Media Inx and embossed with Denim Mix'd Media Inx Embossing Powder.  Phew...  ran out of breath with that sentence!  LOL.  Behind the corrugated board, I layered watercolor paper from Donna's new Mix'd Media Stax, and behind that, I added a layer of The Crafty Chronicle.
This is my fairy doll!  How cute is this piece?  It is Donna's new paper doll chippie by Want2Scrap.  She is covered in The Crafty Chronicle that was cut with the coordinating dies by Spellbinders.  Her wings were cut using the Wonderful Wings dies that are also manufactured by Spellbinders.
The 'believe' chippie is made by The Dusty Attic.  I gave it some texture by embossing it with Chiffon Mix'd Media Embossing Powder.
This flower is made up of layers of denim and layers of The Crafty Chronicle that were cut with Rose Creations dies.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!  Have a beautiful day!

Join Donna Salazar for an amazing course!
A few words from Donna...

Hello all my cyber buddies!
My Artsy Fartsy Techniques 2.0 class is starting in just a couple days at My Creative Classroom. This 6 week course begins on April 5th, it is $40 and you can enroll HERE! Each week you get a Narrated presentation with large photos, a printable pdf version of the class instructions and I also throw in some technique videos here and there.
Artsy fartsy 2

In Artsy Fartsy Techniques, I will lead you on a Fabulous Technique-Filled Journey. We will take 6 weeks to go through a MULTITUDE of artistic techniques that I've picked up from art school and from my own experimentations… muah,ha,ha (that was an evil scientist laugh). You will be making a book that is 6.5 x 6 with a 5 inch base (because the techniques are so chunky that the book sits like a triangle). You will be creating the last page first and building the book as you go. You will finish by creating the covers which will combine several of the techniques that you've learned along the way.

Thanks for stopping by! Smooches ~D~
