I am sad to say that Moments of Tranquility Shop has been closed for good.
I am grateful for the years of support and kindness that I have received. :o)

If you are here looking for Dusty Attic chipboard... DON'T PANIC!
You can now purchase Dusty Attic chipboard directly from the manufacturer HERE.

Hi dear friends!  I'd like to share a special layout I created for an incredible person... Jennifer Hedger.  She is a woman of strength and a great inspiration to many.

The inspiration for this layout came from CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration.  This is an AMAZING new challenge site that has a unique theme and concept and it truly gets your creative juices flowing!!  I am honored to be their Guest Designer this month!

For this layout, I have used some of my favorite products.
The gorgeous papers, by Pion Design, are called Studio of Memories.  I ADORE this collection!  (Well, I adore ALL of their collections LOL.)
All of the chipboard elements, including this Typewriter ABC Set (DA0143), are manufactured by The Dusty Attic.  I used Helmar Zapdots (cut in half) to layer my title letters.
I love this Sweet Pea Border (DA0593)!  I painted it white, inked it a slight shade of lavender and decorated the flowers with Stickles.
I used the Dusty Attic chippie called Lacing Tash DA0631 (yes, that's ME!), to add tulle lacing to my layout.  You can find a tutorial for my Twisted Lacing HERE.
The piece below the lacing was cut from the Wrought Iron Trim Set (DA0547).
 Doily #1 (DA0479)
I found this anonymous quote on the internet and I altered it slightly.  I think it describes sweet Jen well.  :o)
All of the stitching on this layout was done by hand.  To create the stitched flourish, I lightly sketched it out with a pencil, poked the holes and stitched.
I created this rose using my favorite flower dies, Rose Creations by Spellbinders.  You can find the tutorial for my cabbage flower HERE.  I used my favorite adhesive, Helmar 450 Quick Dry, because the name is very accurate... it dries quickly!
I layer my flowers by using a variety of different adhesives such as Zapdots, 450 Quick Dry and Liquid Scrap Dots.
The butterfly is from Karla's Kreative Korner etsy.  She has a nice selection of beautiful flutterbies!

Thank you for visiting me today!!

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!  (oink oink)
Yes, that means I am about to reveal another NEW paper collection by Donna Salazar Designs.  This one is a little different from her previous collections, but I love it just as much.  It's not only good for youthful layouts and projects, it it is also perfect for any playful or silly photos you may have.  I'll show you what I mean once I can share.  :o)

Now it's time to introduce....

As always, Donna has created this line with Spellbinders in mind.  Many of the images are compatible with Spellbinders' dies!

Don't you love how unique these papers are?!

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!  (oink oink)
I am honored and excited to have been selected as a Guest Designer for Pion Design!  If you haven't already seen their gorgeous papers, click HERE to take a peek!  A big thank you to Jenny and Theresa for this fantastic opportunity!

Hi everyone!  This is a wall plaque I created with beautiful Vilda Stamps and gorgeous papers by Pion Design. What an amazing combination!
This corner cluster is made up of mulberry and satin flowers and gray pearls.
The frame of my wall plaque was cut from the Pion Design papers and adhered with Zapdots for dimension.
I created the large flower by hand.  You can find a tutorial for my Cabbage Rose HERE.
In the background, you can see where I stamped a script stamp using Brevbakgrund (V260) by Vilda Stamps.  I used Honey Mix’d Media Inx and it was the perfect color for this project!
The chipboard words (Mini Words #1 DA0386) are manufactured by The Dusty Attic.  I also inked them in Honey Mix’d Media Inx and applied a layer of clear embossing powder.
This gorgeous flourish stamp is called Grungeswirl (V540).  I used Jasmine Mix’d Media Inx Embossing Powder to make the image stand out.
I fussy cut a few birds from the Pion Design papers and placed them on my chipboard branch (Twigs DA0129).  Aren’t they cute?  LOL

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a beautiful week!

  • I have decided to step down from all Design Teams to spend more time with my family. I do occasionally create so keep an eye out!
