Donna Salazar Designs 2012-2013 Design Team Call

We are REALLY excited to announce the 2012-2013 Design Team Call for Donna Salazar Designs!

This year the DT call will be divided into TWO rounds:

ROUND 1 begins at 12:00 a.m. on December 1st and all applications must be in by 12:00 a.m. on January 1st, 2012.
All applicants, please email the following information to both donna@donnasalazar.com AND natasha@donnasalazar.com:

  • List of Current Design Teams including:
    • The duration of each term
    • Did you complete the entire term for all?  If not, please give a brief explanation for each
  • List of Past Design Teams
    • The duration of each term
    • Did you complete the entire term for all?  If not, please give a brief explanation for each
  • Links to all active galleries including scrapbook.com
  • Link to Facebook account
  • Link to Twitter account (if applicable)
  • Please submit photos of FOUR (4) Projects.  **OPTIONAL** It isn't required but we'd love to see digi or hybrid projects. Please make sure that you label your photos as "digi" or "hybrid" if you do this option
    • (2) Layouts
    • (1) Card
    • (1) Altered project
    • Use of Donna Salazar Designs product is required on at least one project.
ROUND 2:  Eight (8) finalists will be selected from the first round of the DT Call and will be announced on the Donna Salazar blog on January 3rd.
  • The finalists will be sent boxes with samples of Donna Salazar Designs product from Spellbinders, Clearsnap, GCD Studios, Zutter, Want2Scrap and Art Gone Wild with an approximate value of $100
  • The finalists will be required to create two (2) projects
    • Quality projects with good photos are a must
    • The first project should be created for a “share” post
    • The second project should be created for a “tutorial” post and include step by step photos
  • The html for these posts will need to be e-mailed to both Donna and Natasha by February 1st at 12:00 a.m.
    • These post should NOT be made public on the finalist’s blogs until after the new DT has been chosen
    • After the new DT has been chosen the finalists will be given a date to make their posts live
The 2012-2013 Design Team will be announced on Donna’s blog on February 2nd, 2012. The Design Team boxes will be sent to the new team members after the announcement.

TERM REQUIREMENTS
  • This DT term will run from February 2012 to February 2013
  • Each DT member is required to have a blog
  • Each DT member is required to have a Facebook account (or be willing to create one) because all team communication is done via a Facebook Group
  • Each DT member is asked to participate as much as possible on the DSD Facebook Fan Page and the Girlie Grunge Ning Site
  • Each DT member will be required to submit the html code for two (2) project posts every month
    • One post will be a share post and the other will be a tutorial post
  • Each DT member will be required to create additional projects for both CHA Summer and CHA Winter
  • Each DT member will be required to use Donna Salazar Designs product from Spellbinders, Zutter, Clearsnap, Want2Scrap, GCD Studios, and Art Gone Wild
    • Please make sure that any existing commitments won’t be conflicting with these companies before applying
  • Each DT member will be required to submit 3 projects for magazine publication each month

    • either print or online magazines are acceptable
  • “Drama Mamas” need not apply.  :)
SPECIAL NOTE: All DSD Design Team Members will receive a GENEROUS amount of product from several different manufacturers and in return, every DT member is expected to fully commit to the above requirements.

WHEN SUBMITTING: **The subject of your email should be ‘Design Team Call - Name - Country’ (Ex: Design Team Call - Natasha Naranjo Aguirre - USA).**

INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS: This call is open to both US and International artists; however, international artists will be required to pay their own shipping costs for all DSD product before their DT packages can be shipped. There will be 3-5 shipments during the 2012-2013 term. We will do our best to combine product from as many partner companies as possible when shipping. If you are an International applicant, please be sure that you are willing and able to pay these shipping charges before applying.
