Below is a handmade gift that I created for a special person this holiday season.

I purchased a plain, wooden gift box from my local craft store.
Using a variety of stamps and white embossing powder by Clearsnap, I added texture to the surface of my box.  On top of that layer, I added gesso, white and berry wine acrylic paint, ceramic stucco, Smooch Spritz by Clearsnap and Mix'd Media Inx by Donna Salazar.  The ornate chipboard element is manufactured by The Dusty Attic.
This hand-made flower was created using Donna Salazar's Rose Creations dies by Spellbinders.  The edges were inked using Colorbox Cat's Eye Pigment Ink and the petals were sprinkled with Fairy Dust by Donna Salazar.  You can find a tutorial for this flower HERE.
I adore these double-layered butterflies by Donna Salazar!  They were die cut from her Queen Bees papers (Antiquities Collection) using her Wonderful Wings dies by Spellbinders.
To add this tulle lacing to my gift box, I drilled 1/8" holes into the wood and adhered eyelets in the holes.

The inside of the box is lined with vintage lace and filled with coordinating tulle.

These flowers were also created using Donna Salazar's Rose Creations dies.  You can find the tutorial for these flowers HERE.
