Happy Sunday friends!!  It's time for another sketch over at Creative Scrappers!  I really love this week's sketch because it forced me to release my creative side.  I love how this layout turned out.  It's different from my usual work, yet it still screams "ME!!!".
Believe it or not, the patchwork background of my layout was inspired by my bag LOL.  I remember staring at it one day and thinking what an awesome background it would make.
To create the patchwork background, I chose several sheets of similar paper.  I used papers from Tim Holtz's Vintage Shabby paper stash.  I tore up the paper into pieces and adhered them to a background paper from the same paper collection.  Then I brushed white acrylic paint over the entire page and misted certain areas with Slate Glimmer Mist.  Finally, I hand-stitched  each piece for added detail and texture.
This awesome title is made from chipboard and manufactured by The Dusty Attic.  When my daughter was a baby, she wasn't capable of saying "brother" so she kept calling her brother, "bubba".  She still calls him that today LOL.
I added texture to the title by stamping a texture onto the chipboard using embossing ink.  I then sprinkled on white embossing powder and heat set it.  The other words in the title were outlined with a white Sharpie paint marker (oil-based) and then dry-brushed with white acrylic paint to create a distressed look.
Just some hand-stitched flourishes accented with a little bling.
This is probably one of my favorite Prima flowers.  It goes well with everything!  I made the little curly do-jiggies using hemp cord.
My precious babies... at the time my son was 3 and my daughter was less than a year old.
The chicken wire beneath the photos is also made by The Dusty Attic.
In this photo, I think my baby girl was trying to pick her own nose and her brother's at the same time.  LOL!

That's all for today!!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.  Have a beautiful week ahead!
