Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a layout I made of my son. Thanks to my scrap buddy Kay for inspiring me to make another grungy layout. :o)
This flower was made using Dusty Attic chipboard Flower Layers #1 (DA0502). My Dusty Attic team mate, Mistra, inspired me to make these flowers. For a tutorial on how to make these embossed flowers, please click here.
The title is made out of Grunge board. I embossed the letters using a Texture Fades embossing folder and then highlighted the raised surfaces and edges with Stickles. The stitched flourish was made using a Bazzill stitching template, but I added extra holes for greater detail. The chain fence (DA0450) is made by The Dusty Attic. I inked it with a spray ink and embossed it with Distress embossing powder. I also highlighted it using Perfect Pearls and acrylic paint.
The time piece is made by Tim Holtz as are the metal flowers and foliage.
This hinge is made by The Dusty Attic. I embossed it and then inked it with glimmer mist. I also added a touch of gold acrylic paint and secured it to my layout using brads.

I decided to stitch my own flourishes because I do not have any small stitching templates. For a quick tip on how to create your own stitched flourishes click here.
The little tag is a Tim Holtz Fragment Charm. I attached it to a swivel clasp and hooked it onto a hitch fastener. The little metal heart on the tag is from Maxine's Melange. Maxine is an Australian-based retailer and she sells a lot of vintage trinkets and also Dusty Attic products! Stop by her site today and tell her I said "hi". :o)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a fantastic day!

Love it! At least I'm first at commenting on your blog! I love seeing the closeups--you can really appreciate all that hard work from observing the closeups. Fabulous textures as always--I really loved that quote...so inspiring & definitely a message you'd want to convey your children! Wonderful in so many ways!
Fabulous boy page. Love that it still has the touches that I love .. embossing, florals, bling and stitching!
I love all your details, especially the "X" lacing in the corner. The photo, papers, title embossing, masking and journaling strips are all very nice my friend!
this is an amazing layout!
Gorgeous page Matasha! Love the lacing, the idea of using stamps as guides for stitched elements (GENIUS!!) and the beautiful photo- great GREAT page as always! You have a style and part of it is the "element of surprise". I always spot at least 1 thing I really want to try on one of my projects.
