Hi friends!  I finally have the time to post a layout I made a little while ago.  It has been a crazy week at work, but I can finally enjoy the calm after the storm.  This is a layout I made for The Dusty Attic using their new January 2011 Releases.  I used the papers from this month's Swirlydoos kit to create this 'vintage' layout.  The photo of me and my husband was taken in 2009 during one of my trips to Colombia.  The title is from the song 'No One' by Alicia Keys.  I had created a tag with a few lines of the lyrics, but I decided not to add it to my layout (because I ran out of space!).  So I adhered it to the back of my layout.  It reads:

"I know some people search the world
To find something like what we have
I know people will try
Try to divide something so real
So 'til the end of time
I'm telling you there is no one

No one, no one

Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you"

When people learned about my relationship with my (now) husband, they weren't too pleased for several reasons.  First, we grew up in completely different cultures and environments, and second, we were separated by thousands of miles.  Nonetheless, we overcame many obstacles and found a way to be together.

This flourish chippie is made by The Dusty Attic (Vine Flourish Small DA0486).  For a tutorial on how I altered this piece, please click here.  The clay rose was purchased from Breaking Barriers Etsy Shop.
I decorated each corner using a corner punch and some bling.  I also added stitching to random areas of my layout.
The title stickers are made by Prima.  I embossed each letter using a Texture Fades embossing folder and I inked the edges as well.  I also added a coat of Crackle Accents for that 'cracked glass' look.
This Dusty Attic chippie (Foliage DA0506) was inked and stamped with acrylic paint.  For a tutorial on how to alter this chippie, please click here.
The 'LOVE' key is made by Tim Holtz.  I butchered a Prima flourish and 'strategically' placed each piece LOL.  I have 'problems' using bling as is.  I always tend to cut it up into a hundred pieces and place each piece where I like.
I curled one of the punched corners for added interest.  The green leaf you see here is actually a chipboard leaf made by The Dusty Attic.  I love this set (Leaves DA0508)!  It comes with a variety of different leaves.
This corner chippie (Ornate Corner #4 DA0347) was inked, painted with copper acrylic paint and coated with Crackle Accents.
And finally... here's a close-up of a variety of different flowers.

Thank you for visiting me today!  Have a fantabulous day!
