Hi my fellow scrappers!  I can't believe January is quickly coming to an end!  This month is flying by, and I haven't even taken my Christmas decorations down!  Eek!  At this rate, it will be 2012 in no time.
Yes, this is another lovey-dovey page of me and my hubby.  LOL.   I really did travel thousands of miles to find my other half.  I met him while on a family vacation in Colombia two years ago.  I can't say I believe in love at first sight... that's a bit extreme, but I can say that I felt a very special connection the first time we met.

I used some Prima flowers and a pocket watch made by The Dusty Attic.  I inked it with Distress Ink and highlighted it with Perfect Pearls.  I also added a game spinner by Tim Holtz.
The grungeboard flourishes are made by Tim Holtz.  I heat embossed them with Distress embossing powder and then I smeared on some Stickles for a little bling.
I dry embossed the paper behind my photo using a Texture Fades embossing folder.  I also hand stitched the border for added texture.  This part of the title was printed onto cardstock and adhered with foam squares.
Most of you who are familiar with my work know that I love to add lacing to my layouts.  I tore the paper and stitched it together using hemp cord and eyelets.  For a tutorial on how to do this, click here.
The word key is from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology collection.  I inked it with copper alcohol ink to mach my layout and attached it to a swivel clasp.
Here's a close-up of the corner cluster made up of flowers and grungeboard.
If you look closely, you can see a little trail I made connecting New York and Colombia LOL.  When making this layout, I was so careful not to cover either one of these locations.  You could say that this layout has great meaning to me.
I created a distressed frame for my photo.  If you are interested in seeing how I made it, please check out my tutorial.
