Hi there! Hope everyone is having a good day. This is a layout of my daughter at her pre-school graduation. She was 3 years old in this photo. I've been feeling kind of BLAH lately, so I decided to do a 'pick-me-up' layout using happy colors. I used the Green at Heart Collection by BasicGrey. This is nothing like the original design I had imagined LOL, but I'm satisfied with how it came out.
The butterfly is a Dusty Attic chippie that I inked, glittered and stickled. The bling is made by ZVA and was cut in half.
If you notice behind the photo, there is a piece of brown cardstock that I embossed using the woodgrain embossing folder by Tim Holtz. I wanted letters that would match and go with the 'green and earthy' theme of this layout. So I used Grungeboard and painted it with acrylic paint. I then embossed the letters with the same folder.
I used the laser-cut paper in this collection and cut off a section to attach to the side of my frame. I inked all of the edges and added a little Stickles for some extra bling. I also placed a few of the dimensional cardstock stickers on top of the printed butterflies for added dimension. The green mat behind the photo is actually Prima packaging.
If you've seen my layouts before, then it's no surprise that I LOVE eyelets! I made two circles using eyelets and made a smaller stitched circle for emphasis. To see a Quick Tip on how to make two even eyelet circles, click here. The little flowers in between the eyelets are made by Jolee's Boutique. It was actually a flower bouquet sticker that I cut apart. I added a little bit of dusty concord Stickles to each center, although it is difficult to see in the photo.
