Hello!  This is my DD a few weeks before her first birthday (back in 2006).  Her dress and hat were hand-made in Colombia, and she wore the dress for her Christening too.  I wanted to create a very feminine layout to match her outfit.
These cherry blossoms are made by Jolee's Boutique.  I had to cut them into pieces in order to frame the photo.  The quote is from paper made by Creative Imaginations waaaaay back when.  Those old papers are so different from their new releases. The title is a chippie made by Dusty Attic.  I painted it white and added glitter.  (What's a girly page without some bling?)  As for the lacing... I used a wet Q tip to dampen the areas where you see the roses.  I gently pinched back the paper and added extra ink.  I inserted brads into those gaps and laced the sheer ribbon around them.  Then I glued on the roses and inked them with victorian velvet Distress Ink and highlighted them with crystal Stickles. The butterfly was made using Martha Stewart's Monarch Butterfly punch.  I punched out two butterflies, inked them and attached them at the body to create a layered effect.  I stickled the edges in cotton candy, added rhinestones and stamped a trail.
